The invention provides a template-based 5G end-to-end network slice generation method and device. The method comprises the steps that a network slice generation request is received, wherein the network slice generation request is used for generating network slices; the operation of generating abstract topologies corresponding to the network slices by adopting a universal template is triggered according to the slice generation request, wherein each abstract topology is used for describing the connection relation among various network function units; and the corresponding abstract topologies aremapped into physical topologies through a mapping strategy to generate the network slices. The method is targeted at the same type of services with the same requirement, the abstract topologies of the network slices are established by adopting the universal template, the network slices are generated through the mapping method, therefore, the creation number of the network slices is decreased, themapping relation of the network slices is optimized, and the creation cost of the network slices is reduced.
