Abstract

The invention discloses a lighting method for a SATA hard disk. The lighting method comprises the following steps: a CPLD obtains a dial switch state of a backplane and determines a SGPIO signal source according to the dial switch state; frame information sent by a BMC is received, and a control mode of the SATA hard disk is determined according to the frame information; and a control signal transmitted from a PCH or the BMC is received according to the SGPIO signal source and the control mode so as to perform a lighting operation with the control signal. The method can be used for lighting the SATA hard disk in different control modes.
