Abstract

The invention relates to receptacle, in particular a cleaning device, for receiving at least one preferably elongated sample container, in particular a cuvette, which has an opening and a base that lies opposite the opening in the longitudinal direction and closes the sample container, for cleaning such a sample container. The receptacle has a first element for at least partly longitudinally placing on a sample container opening edge pointing in the longitudinal direction, said first element having a passage which is designed to at least partly overlap with the opening of the sample containerwhen the sample container is received, and the receptacle is designed to introduce and discharge fluid for cleaning the sample container through the opening when the sample container is received. Thereceptacle also has a second element which lies substantially opposite the first element in the longitudinal direction for at least partly longitudinally placing on the base of the sample container. The first and the second element are arranged such that the sample container can be held between the first and the second element, in particular the sample container can be clamped between the first and the second element in the longitudinal direction.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a holder (insert, storage device) for sample containers, in particular for elongated sample containers, such as cuvettes or test tubes. Such holders are especially useful for sample container cleaning. Background technique [0002] Sample containers such as cuvettes or test tubes are usually made of quartz glass or glass and are relatively expensive. They are reusable and must be cleaned and free of residue before being used again. They are usually dried with compressed air. [0003] During the cleaning and drying process, the sample container is often held alone in the hand, where gloves are required and there is a high risk of sample container breakage during manual cleaning. In the best case, for example, with sufficient skill, it is possible to hold two cuvettes simultaneously with one hand. Therefore, manual cleaning is very time-consuming. [0004] Commercially available cleaning devices, such as the "Vakuwash" devic...
