The method comprises the following steps: when the mobile terminal is in a photographing state, obtaining an initial preview picture and current photographing parameters of a viewfinder in a photographing interface of the mobile terminal; generating a basic preview thumbnail based on the current photographing parameters and the initial preview picture, and acquiring photographing parameters to be adjusted of the mobile terminal; adjusting the initial preview picture according to different values of the photographing parameters to be adjusted to obtain reference preview thumbnails corresponding to different values of the photographing parameters to be adjusted; acquiring a selection instruction input by a user based on the photographing interface, and determining a target preview thumbnail in the basic preview thumbnail and the reference preview thumbnails based onthe selection instruction; and updating the current photographing parameters according to the photographing parameters corresponding to the target preview thumbnail.
