The present disclosure discloses a positioning and ranging method and device, communication equipment and a storage medium, and relates to the field of communication technology. The method includes: sending a configuration of a frame structure to a terminal device, the frame structure including a first time unit, and the first time unit being used for positioning and/or ranging; wherein the working frequency of the frame structure belongs to a frequency band not less than 6GHz. In the embodiment of the present disclosure, the network device configures the terminal device with the frame structure including the first time unit. The working frequency of the frame structure belongs to a frequency band not less than 6 GHz. Since the first time unit is used for positioning and/or ranging, the terminal device can use the time-frequency resource on the first time unit to perform positioning and/or ranging, thus avoiding the situation that there is no time-frequency resource for positioning and/or ranging.
