Abstract

The invention discloses an application of a marker of calcium overload mediated neuronal death in preparation of a medicine for treating various senile related neurodegenerative diseases and a method for detecting the diseases. The diseases include but are not limited to senile dementia, Parkinson's disease, gradual freezing or glaucoma. The marker for calcium overload mediated neuron death and the application have curative effects on treatment of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, gradual freezing and glaucoma. In addition, calcium overload and TLK2 hyperphosphorylation can be used as a novel molecular marker for predicting the disease occurrence process or checking the treatment effect.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of biomarkers, in particular to a marker and application of calcium overload-mediated neuron death. Background technique [0002] Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Parkinson's disease (PD) are the most common neurodegenerative diseases in the elderly. At present, there are as many as 5 million senile dementia patients in China, accounting for 25% of the total number of cases in the world, and nearly 300,000 new cases each year, showing a significant growth trend. The incidence rate of people over the age of 75 reaches 8%, and it is as high as 11% over the age of 80. There are more women with senile dementia than men, and women over 60 years old suffer from senile dementia 2-3 times higher than men. Among people over 60 years old, the incidence rate of Parkinson's disease is 1-2%; among people over 80 years old, the incidence rate can reach 4%, which is the second largest neurodegenerative disease after ...
