The overhead vehicle air conditioning unit comprises an outside air inlet module, an inside air inlet module, an air processing module and a waterproof module, wherein the inside air inlet module is upwards arranged and communicated with an outside air inlet so as to form air movement between the outside air inlet module and the inside air inlet module; the air processing unit consists of an air door unit and an air door execution unit, is used for adjusting air between the outside air inlet module and the inside air inlet module, and the air door unit is arranged on the air door execution module; and the waterproof module consists of a flow guiding unit, a water accumulation unit, and an exchange unit, and the flow guiding unit is arranged at a position corresponding to the outside air inlet module and used for guiding liquid entering from the outside air inlet module to a special position; the water accumulation unit is used for containing the liquid entering from the flow guiding unit; and the exchange unit is movably arranged at the bottom of the water accumulation unit.
