Abstract

The purpose of this invention is to improve compressor performance by preventing delay of open of a release valve and reducing operation load in a scroll compressor and provide stable release valve mechanism in mass production. The scroll compressor is provided with a compression mechanism part compressing working fluid in a compression chamber 11 and a hermetic vessel forming a delivery pressure chamber 2f in which compressed working fluid is delivered. A fixed scroll 5 is provided with a release valve device 15 to open a route to make communication of the compression chamber 11 and a delivery pressure chamber 2f when pressure of the compression chamber rises higher than established pressure. The release valve device 15 is provided with a release flow passage 15i, a release valve 15d provided to open and close the release flow passage 15i, a valve pressing body 15h applying elastic pressing force on a release valve, and retainer 16. The valve pressing body 15h includes elastic part getting free under a condition where the release valve closes the release flow passage and getting compressed under a condition where the release valve opens the release flow passage.
