Abstract

The invention provides a mobile station positioning method in group calling service of cluster communication system, which comprises: A.MPC receives positioning service request to MS, constructs GPS positioning request message and sends to PDS; B. PDS inquiries the information of activated group where the MS is in, and sends a GPS positioning request message to BSS; C. BSS sends the GPS positioning request message to the shared channel before the group according to the activated group information provided by the PDS; D.MS performs IMSI matching, searches the satellite signal while consistent to obtain a GPS positioning information, and forwards it to MPC through BSS and PDS. A mobile station positioning system in group calling service of cluster communication system, comprises a MPC, a PDS, a BSS and a MS connected successively. The invention enable the mobile positioning center (MPC) to obtain the position information of mobile station of cluster communication system through GPS, even when the mobile station is in the group calling service.
