Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a device for processing a multimedia broadcasting multicast service (MBMS). The method comprises the following steps that: when cells which belong to different time slot networks and are mutually adjacent cells transmit the MBMS service with the same configurations, indication information is broadcast in each cell to indicate frequency pointsfor the cell to transmit the MBMS service, and the adjacent cell of the cell transmits the MBMS service with the same configuration as the cell, thus when UE is ready to be switched to the adjacent cell, the UE switches the frequency to a corresponding frequency point and receives the MBMS service according to the original configuration. In the embodiment of the invention, the method and the device make the UE know the adjacent cell by broadcasting the indication information so as to transmit the MBMS service with the same configuration as the current cell, and the adjacent cell transmits thefrequency points of the MBMS service so that when the UE is ready to be switched to the adjacent cell, the MBMS service can be continuously received with the original configuration by switching the frequency points and the continuity of the receiving process of the MBMS service is ensured. The MBMS service is received according to the configuration corresponding to the configuration parameters ofthe adjacent cell.
