Problems solved by technology

[0003] The problem with prepared food in a baking dish is that the fat vapors separate from the food during baking and the fat deposits as a film on the edge flange of the dish
[0008] Although the ridges improve the sealability of the pan lid and the pull off of the sealing lid and reduce the risk of leaks when baked into the package, there is still a problem with the previously mentioned grease or other impurities. Some leak risk, but also the possibility of production cracks and other irregularities in the narrow ridge

Embodiment Construction

[0025] figure 1 and figure 2 Shows the corners of a tray part 1 of a package for prepared food according to the invention, said tray part being provided with a flange edge 2 and a sealing ridge 3 extending from the surface of the flange Raise and wrap around the pan. The flange 2 has three concentric longitudinal ridges 3 surrounding the disc and transverse ridges 4 connecting said longitudinal ridges and positioned at regular intervals. The transverse ridges 4 divide the space between the concentric ridges 3 into chambers 5 which are closed when the lid of the package is sealed. like figure 1 and 2 As shown, the transverse ridges 4 are located in the spaces of the different longitudinal ridges in a stepped manner relative to each other. Optionally, according to Figure 4 The transverse ridges 4 in the embodiment are located in the spaces of different longitudinal ridges 3 adjacent to each other so as to form a consistent ridge in the space bounded by the longitudinal r...

Abstract

The invention relates to a package for ready-prepared foods, which comprises a dish (1) containing packed food that has been cooked in the dish, and a lid heat- sealed to the rim flange (2) of the dish. Upon cooking grease lands onto the rim flange, the detriment of which caused to the sealing has in the invention been prevented by providing the rim flange with elevated ridges (3, 4) so that, upon closing the dish, a gastight sealing line is formed between the lid and the ridges. According to the invention the rim flange has two or more concentric longitudinal ridges (3) circulating the dish and transverse ridges (4), by means of which the space between two longitudinal ridges (3) has been divided into at least five compartments for diminishing the possibility of sealing leakages. In practice there can be considerably more compartments, suitably 10-200. The dish can be made of polymer- coated cardboard, the rim flange of injection-moulded plastics and the lid of polymer-coated paper so that a closure making possible the pulling off of the lid is produced during heat-sealing.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a package for prepared food, consisting of a tray containing the packaged food in which it has been cooked, and a lid sealed to the edge flange of the tray, The edge flange is provided with two or more concentric ridges which circulate the disc such that when the disc is closed an air-tight closure line is formed between the disc and the flange ridges. Background technique [0002] The food industry produces pan-shaped consumer packages for prepared foods (eg, pasta and casseroles), the pan-shaped portion of which operates as a baking dish during the preparation phase of the food. The food is placed in an uncooked pan, the food is cooked in the pan at roasting temperature, and finally the pan containing the prepared cooked food is sealed with a lid. The bakeware can be made of aluminum, heat resistant plastic or cardboard, a polymer coating with a melting temperature high enough to withstand the baking temperature of the food ...
