Abstract

A prepayment service charging method and system for an Integrated Virtual Private Network (IVPN) are provided in the present invention. The method includes that: a Service Control Point (SCP) of the IVPN judges whether a received communication request is a prepayment service; when the communication request is a prepayment service, the SCP sends a charging request to an Online Charging System (OCS); the OCS, according to the charging request, communicates with the SCP in real time in order to obtain available time for the communication, and executes a real-time time length reservation for the communication until the communication is end or credit line of an account to which the communication belongs has been exhausted; the OCS executes deduction for the total time that the communication has spent. The main aim of the present invention is to provide a prepayment service charging method and system for an IVPN, so as to provide online charging for the prepayment service of IVPN subscribers and reduce a risk of owing fees.
