Abstract

The invention discloses a method, a device and a system for acquiring an internet protocol (IP) address, which are used for solving the problem that dual-stack terminal access service has high failure rate in the prior art. The main technical scheme comprises the following steps of: requesting a network side to allocate a first type of IP address, and performing domain name server (DNS) resolution according to the first type of IP address allocated by the network side; and after the DNS resolution is failed or the DNS resolution is successful and an address carried in the resolution result is mismatched with the first type of IP address, requesting the network side to allocate a second type of IP address. Due to the technical scheme, when the DNS resolution is failed or an IP address acquired by a terminal is mismatched with an address of access service, the second type of IP address is acquired further; therefore, the service access failure due to mismatching of the type of IP address acquired by a terminal and an address type corresponding to the access service is avoided, the success rate of the dual-stack terminal access service is improved, and the dual-stack capacity of a dual-stack terminal is fully exerted.
