Abstract

The invention discloses a communication system and method fusing different access technologies. The method comprises the following steps that: a network fusing different access technologies is accessed, and when the service is needed, a fusion terminal sends a service request message containing a service identification to a fusion access switch via an access network; the fusion access switch obtains the address of a service server based on the service identification in the received service request message and then forwards the service request message containing a service identification to the service server; and the service server carries out information exchange with a home subscriber server (HSS) to determine that the service can be provided to the subscriber corresponding to the fusion terminal and then provides the service by utilizing the network fusing different access technologies. The system and the method have the following beneficial effects: the networks providing various radio mobile communication technologies can collaboratively provide communication services and then promote user experience.
