Abstract

Systems, methods, and associated apparatus for performing diagnostic hearing tests use a distributed client-server architecture and the Internet to allow interaction between a test administration site and one or more remote patient sites. The test may be administered by an audiologist or clinician at a location remote from the patient in a manner that may allow for interaction between the user and the clinician during at least a portion of the administration of the test. Diagnostic hearing tests may be performed such that they meet standardized criteria such as ANSI requirements or certification standards, and may include distortion product emission level measurements or middle ear compliance measurements.
