Abstract

The invention provides a service configuration method and a service configuration system for an optical network unit, and relates to a passive optical network technology. The service configuration method for a user-end optical network unit comprises the following steps of: generating the logic identification information and customer management order of the user-end optical network unit according to the application of a user, wherein the customer management order comprises the logic identification information and user information; allocating resources according to the user information to form resource configuration information; binding the resource configuration information and the logic identification information; converting the resource configuration information into a configuration command; storing the configuration command by using a passive optical network equipment network manager; and performing resource configuration on the user-end optical network unit through the configuration command according to a registration request of the user-end optical network unit, wherein the registration request comprises the logic identification information. By the method and the system, each resource can be efficiently and rationally utilized, manual configuration errors can be reduced, service fulfillment accuracy can be greatly improved, and the requirements of large-scale development of a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network can be met.
