Abstract

The invention discloses a communication device and method for rail transit vehicles. The communication device comprises a world factory instrument protocol (WorldFIP) board card, a DEVICENT board card and a central processing unit (CPU) board card. The WorldFIP board card is used for receiving WorldFIP communication data transmitted by an external WorldFIP device and transmitting the WorldFIP communication data to the CPU board card, and used for receiving WorldFIP processing data transmitted by the CPU board card and transmitting the WorldFIP processing data to the external WorldFIP device. The DEVICENT board card is used for receiving DEVICENT communication data transmitted by an external DEVICENT device and transmitting the DEVICENT communication data to the CPU board card, and used for receiving DEVICENT processing data transmitted by the CPU board card and transmitting the DEVICENT processing data to an external DEVICENT device. The CPU board card is used for recognizing the type of the received data and performing corresponding data switching. By means of the communication device and method for rail transit vehicles, communication between the WorldFIP device and the DEVICENET can be achieved.
