Embodiment Construction

[0016] The inventive subject matter will now be described in detail with respect to certain preferred embodiments, it being understood that these embodiments are merely illustrative examples and are not limited to these embodiments.

[0017] Embodiments may discuss systems and methods for retrieving and integrating business objects stored in a backend system into a navigable temporal view of an application displayed in a user interface. Business objects can be retrieved from backend systems. Metadata from business objects can be customized and sorted into multiple categories. The business objects are transformed into the necessary data format for delivery and sent to the application displayed on the user interface. During runtime, custom actions involving each business object are dynamically rendered based on the back-end customization of the metadata. In one embodiment, custom actions can be triggered when a user interacts with applications and devices. Custom actions may ...

Abstract

This article describes systems and methods provided to visualize business objects stored in a back-end system for display in a user interface. Retrieve business objects from back-end systems. Metadata from business objects is customized and classified into multiple categories. The business objects are transformed into the necessary data format for delivery and sent to the application for display on the user interface. During runtime, custom actions involving each business object are dynamically rendered and assigned based on metadata-based backend customizations. Custom actions include the creation or update of items in the application.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the visualization of business objects. Background technique [0002] Business software, such as enterprise resource planning software, implements business processes by modeling business data as business objects and utilizing data exchange between objects. Business data provided via business objects can be accessed through mechanisms such as graphical user interfaces, tables, and analytical reports. Traditionally, user interfaces that provide access to business objects communicate limited information about attributes associated with the business objects. The UI that provides the calendar interface is currently already limited by its implementation. [0003] Current mobile applications do not provide the functionality to fetch business objects from backend systems, along with analytics integration for each business object, and integrate into the application's calendar interface. Current applications are also limited in...
