Abstract

The method comprises the steps of (1) acquiring resting energy expenditure (REE) data of the burn patient accurately under the conditions of different burning areas and different burning periods by means of the indirect energy measurement method; (2) conducting mathematical treatment on the acquired energy expenditure data by means of the mathematical analysis technique to obtain a non-linear energy expenditure estimation formula and a linear energy expenditure estimation formula; (3) conducting a retrospective statistical test on the established energy expenditure estimation formulas, returning to the step (2) if the test is not passed, and executing the step (4) if the test is passed; (4) conducting clinical application.
