The invention discloses a method and a device for processing an application APP of a terminal and the terminal. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring CPU (Central Processing Unit) occupancy rates of APPs operating at the background of a terminal system during operating time of a current APP; judging whether the CPU occupancy rates of the APPs operating at the background are in corresponding normal data ranges, and if the CPU occupancy rates of the APPs operating at the background are not in the corresponding normal data ranges, determining that the CPU occupancy rates of the corresponding APPs are abnormal, displaying a prompt message of killing processes so as to enable a user to kill the processes of the corresponding APPs according to the prompt message. According to the method and the device for processing the application APP of the terminal and the terminal, which are disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, influence of the APPs with the abnormal CPU occupancy rates on the current APP can be reduced, operating smoothness of the current APP is improved, and operating efficiency of the terminal system is improved.
