The method comprises the steps of setting a page object export interface of the Webkit kernel; starting the Webkit kernel in a first independent process; calling the page object export interface in a second independent process to create a page object based on the Webkit kernel; calling the Webkit kernel in the first independent process through the page object, and carrying out page browsing operation and page content loading based on the Webkit kernel. The method and device well solve the problems that the version of a Webbrowser kernel in the browser falls behind, is poor in safety and does not support a non-Microsoft platform and the problems that as the Webkit kernel is directly used, the technical threshold is high, updating is difficult and an installation package is too big.
