Abstract

The invention discloses an automatic earphone volume adjusting method and device and belongs to the technical field of communications. The automatic earphone volume adjusting method and device are applied to a mobile terminal which comprises a loudspeaker. Earphones are connected with the mobile terminal and inserted into the ear canals of a user to play contents output by the loudspeaker. The device comprises a calculation unit, a judgment unit and a volume adjustment unit. The calculation unit is used for setting reference positions in the ear canals and calculating the relative distance between the earphones and the reference positions. The judgment unit is used for judging whether the relative distance is greater than or smaller than a preset distance threshold. When the relative distance is greater than or smaller than the preset distance threshold, the volume adjustment unit adjusts the output volume of the earphones. As a result, the output volume of the earphones is combined with the actual demand of the user, sounds in the needed volume is output automatically, the optimal sound effect can be achieved in different playing environments, and the experience of the user is improved.
