Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a video playing method and apparatus. The method at a terminal equipment side comprises the steps of receiving look-back node information sent by a server during a period of playing a live video, wherein the look-back node information comprises time points at which the video can be looked back; displaying the look-back node information in a live page of the video; when a user clicks on the look-back node information, according to the corresponding time point included in the look-back node information, generating a look-back instruction; and sending the look-back instruction to the server so as to enable the server to provide the video from the time point. In the embodiment of the invention, after terminal equipment receives the look-back node information and displays the look-back node information to the user, the user can click on certain look-back node information so as to send the look-back instruction the server, and the server provides the video started from the look-back node, thereby implementing look-back on the live video in the living process and improving timeliness of looking back the live video.
