Abstract

The invention provides an Internet of vehicles road condition monitoring system. A vehicle on the road is separately provided with a GPS positioning unit. When the distance between a vehicle position acquiring unit and the GPS positioning unit on the vehicle is shorter than a preset threshold value, the GPS positioning unit transmits vehicle position data to the vehicle position acquiring unit. Two lanes separately include two straight lanes in the middle, a left turning lane on the far left and a right turning lane on the far right. The vehicle position data includes the number of vehicles on each lane of the two lanes where an intersection is, and the vehicle position data is transmitted to one road condition analyzing unit and the road condition information is output. According to the invention, the system can effectively monitor traffic of the lanes in each direction in the vicinity of the intersection, and according to the traffic flow after the convergence of each lane, determines whether the road is jammed or not. Since whether the road is jammed is determined by the number of vehicles and congestion conditions at the intersection, road conditions obtained from traffic information at the intersection is more accurate.
