Abstract

The invention relates to a prompting method and apparatus wherein the method comprises: obtaining the current state of a first picture wherein the current state indicates one of the following items: viewed and un-viewed; according to the current state, detecting from the first picture a second picture that has not been viewed; responding to the detected second picture and controlling a target terminal to output prompting information wherein the prompting information indicates there exists a second picture that has not been viewed. With the technical schemes of the invention, when a user completes the photographing of pictures but does not view them, the user is prompted to check the pictures so that the user does not forget checking the unviewed pictures and that better use experience can be brought to the user.
