The method comprises the steps that a video editing request including an editing start point and an editing end point is received; candidate GOP files between the editing start point and the editing end point are determined in multiple group-of-picture GOP files corresponding to a video to be edited; whether the initial video frame corresponding to the editing start point is the key frame is judged; if the judgment result is no, the initial GOP file in which the editing start point is located is determined in the candidate GOP files, and the initial video frame and all the subsequent video frames in the initial GOP file are recoded so as to obtain the coded GOP file; and the initial GOP file in the candidate GOP files is replaced by the coded GOP file so as to obtain an editing video code stream.
