Abstract

The auxiliary arc-extinguishing mechanism comprises a shielding plate, a magnetic yoke and a torsion spring. The magnetic yoke is fixed on the static contact. The shielding plate is placed corresponding to a gap between the movable contact and the static contact and is positioned on one side of the movable contact and the static contact. The two side edges of the shielding plate are in sliding connection with the shell of the circuit breaker through arc-shaped sliding rails. The side wall of the shielding plate is rotationally connected with the shell of the circuit breaker through a rotating shaft configured to pass through the central hole of the torsion spring. One end of the shielding plate, far away from the static contact, is provided with an armature corresponding to the magnetic yoke. The two ends of the torsion spring are respectively pressed on the side wall and the shell of the circuit breaker. According to the invention, the shielding plate can be rapidly inserted in the gap between the movable contact and the static contact when the short-circuit current is broken by the circuit breaker.
