The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a name code by the material name after transcoding; carrying out hash calculation on a name code and an order number to obtain a unique material ID; and querying a database by the unique ID to obtain material detail information. The method has the advantages that compared with the prior art, retrieval work of the method is carried out simply through the order number and a material name of a material, and is simpler, more convenient and faster; speed of carrying out retrieval in a numerical manner after encoding/decoding of the material name is higher; the material names and name codes are input into a material dictionary to facilitate invoking of the material names; input of material pictures into the material dictionary can facilitate comparison, and retrieval errors are avoided; and the retrieval work is enabled to be more intuitive.
