Problems solved by technology

Excessive network traffic of network traffic data can also complicate data routing or degrade the quality of responses if the responding computing device is at or above its processing capacity, which can lead to inefficient bandwidth utilization
Control of network transfers corresponding to content item objects can be complicated by the large number of content item objects that can initiate network transfers of network traffic data between computing devices

[0092] Data processing system 120 may provide the messaging identifier to computing device 110 separately from other subject matter of the content item. For example, a data processing system may communicate a content item without a messaging identifier. Data processing system 120 may include the messaging icon in the content item. In response to actuation (e.g., selection, rollover, keyboard entry, or touch gesture) of a messaging icon via computing device 110, data processing system 120 may provide a messaging identifier to computing device 110 to cause computing device 110 to The messaging application 155 is launched.

[0093] Data processing system 120 may transmit the first instance of the online content item having the messaging identifier to the computing device to cause the computing device to render the instance of the online content item having the messaging identifier on a display of the first computing device. A user of computing device 110 may click or otherwise ...

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a technique for reducing delay in network service data transmission. The system parses an online document to determine a messaging identifier for communicating with a content provider device over an asynchronous network-based communication channel. The system assembles the first instance of the online content item with the messaging identifier. An intermediary device located on the asynchronous network-based communication channel between the first computing device and the content provider device intercepts data packets comprising the electronic message. The system determines the quality of the asynchronous network-based communication channel. The system prevents insertion of the messaging identifier in the second instance of the online content item prior to transmitting the second instance of the online content item to the second computing device, by preventing additional messages from being sent to the messaging identifier to reduce latency.

Description

[0001] Cross References to Related Applications [0002] This application claims priority to U.S. Patent Application No. 15 / 288,921, entitled "Network Based Data Traffic Latency Reduction," filed October 7, 2016, the contents of which are incorporated by reference in their entirety incorporated herein. Background technique [0003] Packet-based or otherwise excessive network traffic data between computing devices may prevent computing devices from properly processing the web traffic data, completing operations related to the web traffic data, or responding to the web traffic data in a timely manner. Excessive network transmission of network traffic data can also complicate data routing or degrade the quality of responses if the responding computing device is at or above its processing capacity, which can lead to inefficient bandwidth utilization. Control of network transfers corresponding to content item objects can be complicated by the large number of content item objects t...
