Benefits of technology

This patented device has several benefits that help with making it easier than ever to trim or shave off hardened skin from bone plates used during orthopedic surgeries. It allows users to easily change how much they want to use these materials without having them get stuck between themselves.

Problems solved by technology

The technical problem addressed in this patented text relates how expensive materials like ceramic tiles can be efficiently shaped for various uses such as dentistry procedures by hand without being imprecise due to their shape.

no. 1 example

[0033] Please refer to figure 1 , the present embodiment provides an adjustable costal cartilage cutter 100 , which includes a fixing frame 110 and a knife frame 120 .

[0034] see figure 2 The fixing frame 110 is used for installing the knife holder 120 and fixing the costal cartilage to be cut. In this embodiment, the fixing frame 110 is provided with a clamping assembly 130 and a tray 117 for placing the clamping assembly 130 .

[0035]The clamping assembly 130 is used to fix the cartilage. Specifically, the clamping assembly 130 includes a posterior leaf 131, an anterior leaf 132 and a connecting rod 133, the posterior leaf 131 and the anterior leaf 132 are arranged oppositely, and both the posterior leaf 131 and the anterior leaf 132 are provided with a plurality of spikes 134 for fixing cartilage One end of the connecting rod 133 is connected to the rear leaf 131 , the other end of the connecting rod 133 passes through and extends out of the front leaf 132 , and the f...

no. 2 example

[0052] Please refer to Figure 5 , the present embodiment provides an adjustable costal cartilage cutter 200, which is substantially the same as the adjustable costal cartilage cutter 100 of the first embodiment, the difference between the two is that the knife holder 120 of this embodiment is slidably connected with the fixed frame 110 .

[0053] In another embodiment of the present invention, the knife frame 120 is slidably connected with the fixed frame 110 , and the knife frame 120 cuts the cartilage fixed on the fixed frame 110 through vertical movement. There are many ways of sliding connection, such as: the cooperation of slider and slide rail, the cooperation of screw and nut, the cooperation of gear and rack, the transmission of chain or belt, etc.

[0054] In this embodiment, it is preferable that the tool holder 120 slides up and down through the cooperation of the gear and the rack 242. In order to facilitate the installation of the gear and rack 242, in this embo...

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of orthopedic medical devices, and provides an adjustable costal cartilage cutter and an ear and nose surgical instrument. The adjustable costal cartilage cutter comprises a fixing frame and a knife holder, the knife holder is located above the fixing frame and connected with the fixing frame, and the knife holder is provided with a blade. The holder is providedwith a clamping assembly for fixing the cartilage and a tray for placing the clamping assembly, and the tray is provided with a sliding slot perpendicular to the direction of the blade. The clamp assembly is provided with a slider that cooperates with the chute, the knife holder being movable in a direction toward or away from the mount and cutting the cartilage within the clamp assembly. Throughchanging the position of the cartilage to be cut relative to the blade by moving the cartilage to be cut, a blade can cut cartilage of any desired thickness, which is more operative. The ear and nosesurgical instrument includes the above-described adjustable costal cartilage cutter, which can cut cartilage quickly and cut quickly. One blade is capable of cutting cartilage of any desired thickness, which is easier to operate.
