Abstract

The invention, which belongs to the technical field of display, discloses a light modulation film, a display device and a control method thereof. The light modulation film comprises a first electrochromic layer and a second electrochromic layer which are arranged in a stacked mode. The first electrochromic layer is provided with first color-changing areas and first non-color-changing areas which are arranged alternately; and the first color-changing areas have a light-transmitting state and a light-shielding state. The second electrochromic layer is provided with a second color changing area having a light transmitting state and a light absorbing state. When the light modulation film is arranged between a display panel and a backlight module in the display device, the display device is capable of realizing the peep-proof function if the first color changing areas in the first electrochromic layer change states from light-transmitting states to light-shielding states; and the display device is capable of realizing the eye protection function if the second color changing areas in the second electrochromic layer change states from light-transmitting states to the light absorbing states.
