According to the method, a polarization light splitting unit, an optical frequency mixing unit and a synthesis unit are included, the polarization light splitting unit is connected with the input end of the optical frequency mixing unit, and the synthesis unit is connected with the output end of the optical frequency mixing unit; the polarization light splitting unit is used for receiving local oscillation light in any polarization state and carrying out polarization state decomposition on the received local oscillation light to obtain first polarized light with orthogonal polarization states; the optical frequency mixing unit is used for mixing the first polarized light and second polarized light and outputting the mixed light to the light synthesis unit, and the second polarized light is polarized light which is obtained by decomposing signal light and has an orthogonal polarization state; and the synthesis unit is used for synthesizing every two paths of light output by the optical frequency mixing unit into one path of light to be output.
