Embodiment Construction

[0020]An embodiment of the present invention is described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[0021]As shown in FIG. 1, the CPU 106 starts a game (Step S100), determines symbols to be rearranged (Step S200), and variably displays a symbol group (Step S300). Then, the CPU 106 rearranges a symbol in a single display position (Step S400), determines whether a symbol identical with the symbol which has already been rearranged has been rearranged (Step S500), in a case where an identical symbol has been rearranged, rearranges identical symbols on an extended line extending from a display position in which the symbol has already been rearranged toward a display position in which the identical symbol has been rearranged (Step S600), repeats processing from Step S400 to Step S600 (Step S700), and after all of the symbols have been rearranged, provides an award corresponding to the number of identical symbols rearranged (Step S800).

Abstract

A gaming machine 13 determines a plurality of symbols to be rearranged on a liquid crystal display 30 in a unit game, corresponding to a random number generated. When each of the plurality of symbol groups determined is sequentially arranged, in a case in which a symbol identical with a symbol that has already been rearranged in a display position, among symbols in the display positions adjacent to the symbols thus arranged, is rearranged, the gaming machine 13 rearranges a symbol so as to be identical with the symbol thus arranged in a display position in an extended line extending from the display position at which symbols have already been rearranged toward the display position at which the symbol thus arranged was positioned, and provides an award corresponding to the number of identical symbols rearranged on the display.

Description

CROSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATIONS[0001]This application claims benefit of U.S. Provisional App. No. 61 / 034,711, filed Mar. 7, 2008, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0002]1. Field of the Invention[0003]The present invention relates to a gaming machine in which symbols in a line are rearranged so that all are identical.[0004]2. Related Art[0005]Conventionally, in slot machines, a game is started when a player bets a certain amount of credits. Then, a plurality of reels, on which a plurality of symbols are depicted, start to rotate, and are stopped after a predetermined time period elapses. As a result, an award is provided to the player based on a symbol combination which is displayed statically. U.S. Pat. No. 6,517,433 discloses that an award is provided corresponding to a predetermined number of symbols rearranged on a winning line.[0006]In addition, in slot games, it may occur that two identical symbols are rearrang...
