The invention discloses an Internet of things-based home management system which comprises N controllers, a server, a client and a temperature sensor, wherein each controller is electrically connected with an electric appliance in the home of a user; a data module, a verification module, a timing module and a control module are arranged on the server; temperature constants are stored in the data module; a verification password is stored in the verification module; a first time constant and a second time constant are stored in the timing module; the server is electrically connected with the N controllers; the names of all the electric appliances in the home of the user are stored in the client, and the name of each electric appliance is associated with an ID of the controller electrically connected with the electric appliance; the client is in communication connection with the server; the temperature sensor is arranged in the home of the user, is used for detecting a temperature value in the home of the user, and is electrically connected with the server.
