Phrase Search is a type of search that allows users to search for documents containing an exact sentence or phrase rather than containing a set of keywords in random order. More recently, phrase search is one of the more important techniques associated with optimizing the textual content of web pages in such a way that it is likely to be found by someone searching for a certain string of text. Phrase Search is also a common term in search engine terminology. The term refers to a specific search syntax which involves using quotation marks (") around a specific phrase to indicate that you want to search for instances of that search query.
Selecting options by uttered speech
A receiving apparatus is provided that includes circuitry configured to perform a search process of searching for one of a channel or a content on the basis of a phrase that is recognized from uttered speech, select one of a plurality of channels or one of a plurality of contents obtained through the searching in accordance with priority that is based on at least one of a viewing history, preference information of a user, or time information, and display, on a display, item images representing the plurality of channels or the plurality of contents obtained through the searching. Each of the item images includes a reading item in a form of character information displayed on the display for speech input corresponding to one of the plurality of channels or the plurality of contents. The item images further include at least one of a thumbnail image, a progress bar, or a broadcast or viewing state indicator.
