AI Technical Summary

Benefits of technology

This patented technology helps prevent overrun situations where certain data cannot get through due to delays caused during transmission between devices connected via an interconnect network (such as LAN). It uses count values from different queues at specific points along its path to determine when there may have any problems with transmitting signals correctly. By counting up these numbers before sending them downstream, conflicts can be detected early on and addressed effectively without affecting other systems' performance.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical solution described in this patents relates to an improvement over current methods such as Flexible Intermediate Passive Network Switch (FIPS), Multiplexerless Interface(MII). These improvements aim to enhance the competitive resolution capabilities and reduce delays associated with data transferring across different types of interfaces while reducing the size of the system's physical components needed.

Embodiment Construction

[0017] The invention designs a photoelectric hybrid buffer device and a buffer control method based on a cache device and a scheduling control strategy of an output shared optical fiber delay line combined with a small amount of electronic memory to solve optical switching packet competition. The photoelectric hybrid buffer device includes output shared optical fiber delay line, random electronic buffer, optical / electrical conversion and electrical / optical converter, optical gate SOA switch, optical multiplexer and optical splitter, and optical signal amplifier to realize the transmission to the entrance of the switch Optical packets that are blocked due to competition for output can solve the problem of packet conflicts in time.

[0018] Conflict control and buffer scheduling part For the conflict packets arriving at the entrance of the optical switch, the conflict packets use the first-choice-fill-in-the-blank algorithm to find the conventional FDL line. If the optical packet...

Abstract

The invention requests to protect a photoelectric hybrid conflict device and a method for conflict control and cache dispatching of optical grouping, and relates to the technical field of fiber-optical communication. Aiming at the defects of low cache utilization factor, huge volume and high cost in fiber-optical delay lines of the conventional optical switch, the invention adopts a technical scheme that: the fiber-optical delay lines are used as main sharing output cache, N output terminals share B limited fiber-optical delay lines, an electronic storage is used as a photoelectric hybrid cache structure for an assisted cache, and an output channel of conflict optical grouping is dispatched by an improved first-fit-void-filling algorithm. When the optical grouping fails to be dispatched to an output port, the shortest available FDL cache is searched first, and if the shortest available FDL cache is not found, the optical grouping is cached in the electronic storage; and when the output port is idle or the outputted FDL line is available, the stored grouping is dispatched to the output port. The method reduces the packet loss rate of the optical grouping and achieves the aim of improving the performance of optical switching.
