Embodiment Construction

[0024] figure 1 A rotary element 1 is shown with a body part 17, a first region 3a forming the first part and a second region 3b forming the second part. The main body part 17 is provided with the engaging part 10 at its lower part. The toothing 10 is designed as a rectangular blind hole within the cylindrical body part 17 . The first part and the second part are correspondingly designed in a semi-cylindrical shape, and are provided with a first pin 11 or a second pin 12 at one end.

[0025] If the first part and the second part are aligned, they again form a cylindrical element, wherein the first pin 11 and the second pin 12 form a larger rectangular pin. This larger pin is dimensioned to fit right into the engagement portion 10 . Since an interference fit is involved at the toothing 10 , a secure mechanical fastening is achieved by pressing the first pin 11 and the second pin 12 into the toothing 10 .

Abstract

The hearing aid e.g. BTE hearing aid has an identifier for distinguishing hearing aid usage at a correct side on left or right ear of a wearer. The identifier is constructed as rotational component having first and second features to be set by rotational movement. The rotational component is preferably set in a cover (5) of a housing (20). The cover is constructed as a battery compartment for inserting a battery.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a hearing aid with identification means for identifying whether the hearing aid is mounted on the correct side of the left or right ear of the wearer. Background technique [0002] Hearing aids are portable hearing devices designed to assist the hearing impaired. In order to meet many special needs, hearing aids of different structures have been produced, such as behind-the-ear hearing aids (HdO: Hinter-dem-Ohr- ), hearing aids with external earphones (RIC: receiver in the canal) and in-ear hearing aids (IdO: in-dem-Ohr- ), also such as pinna hearing aids or ear canal hearing aids (ITE: intheear, CIC: completeincanal). These exemplary listed hearing aids are worn on the outer ear or in the ear canal. Additionally, bone conduction hearing aids, implantable or vibrotactile hearing aids are also available in the market. In this case, the stimulation of the impaired hearing takes place mechanically or electronically. ...
