The present invention discloses a patient monitoring system, an information transmission system contained therein and a method thereof. The patient monitoring system comprises a monitor, a monitoring parameter monitor, a connection cable, an electric connection port and a first control circuit. The monitor displays the information related with a monitored patient. Furthermore the monitor comprises a first port. The connection cable comprises a head end, a bottom end and a cable body which is connected between the head end and the bottom end. Furthermore the head end of the connection cable comprises a first connector which can be connected with the first port of the monitor. The electric connection port receives an analog signal which is output from the monitoring parameter sensor. The first control circuit converts the analog signal which is received through the electric connection port to a digital signal, and furthermore the first control circuit is provided outside the monitor. The patient monitoring system has an advantage of convenient insertion, extraction and connection between the connection cable and the monitor.
