Problems solved by technology

Since a user equipment is configured with multiple uplink component carriers, the failure of PRACH transmission on one uplink component carrier will not lead to the termination of uplink communication. Therefore, the method used to detect PRACH transmission defined in the long-term evolution (LTE) application scenario Failed approaches are not optimal for Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) use cases

Embodiment Construction

[0032] According to the above description, the detection of PRACH transmission failure in the long-term evolution-advanced (LTE-A) application scenario can be based on the following three schemes:

[0033] 1) PRACH resources are configured on multiple uplink component carriers, and PRACH retransmission can only be performed on the uplink component carrier that performed PRACH transmission before;

[0034] 2) PRACH resources are configured on multiple uplink component carriers, and PRACH retransmission can be performed on any uplink component carrier configured with PRACH resources;

[0035] 3) Only one uplink component carrier is configured with PRACH resources, and PRACH retransmission can only be performed on this uplink component carrier.

[0036] It should be noted that the PRACH resource configuration mode and the PRACH retransmission policy are notified by the base station 2 to the user equipment 1 by sending configuration information. In addition, the PRACH resource co...

Abstract

A method and detection apparatus for detecting Physical Random Access CHannel (PRACH) transmission failure in a wireless communication system based on carrier aggregation technology are provided by the invention. A user equipment receives the configuration information from a base station, the configuration information is used for noticing the PRACH resource configuration mode and the PRACH re-transmission strategy to the user equipment; according to the configuration information, the PRACH transmissions on all the uplink component carriers configured with PRACH resource are judged whether they are failed or not; if the PRACH transmissions on all the uplink component carriers configured with PRACH resource are failed, a first notification message is sent from the Media Access Control (MAC) layer to the Raido Resource Control (RRC) Layer, wherein the first notification message is used for noticing that the PRACH transmissions on all the uplink component carriers configured with PRACH resource are failed. With the applications of the method and detection apparatus of the invention, the PRACH transmission failure detection can be implemented in the condition of combining different PRACH resource configuration modes and PRACH re-transmission strategies, in wireless communication system based on carrier aggregation technology.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, in particular to a wireless communication system based on carrier aggregation technology (CarrierAggregation, CA). Background technique [0002] In the long-term evolution (Long-termEvolution, LTE), only one uplink component carrier is configured for a user equipment for uplink communication, when the PRACH (PhysicalRandomAccessChannel, Physical Random Access Channel) transmission on the uplink component carrier fails, also That is, when the number of PRACH retransmissions exceeds the preset maximum number of retransmissions, since the uplink communication cannot be guaranteed, the communication between the user equipment (UserEquipment, UE) and the base station (eNodeB, eNB) will be terminated, so the user equipment has to Triggering a reconnection process to restart uplink communication interrupts normal communication and takes a long time. [0003] In Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LT...
