The method comprises characteristic representation of trademark object shape and match of extracted characteristic, specifically comprising the following steps: 1) normalizing an object; 2) calculating the minimum circumscribed circle of the target object; 3) concentrically dividing a target region in equal area; 4) dividing the concentric circular region to blocks; 5) calculating and extracting characteristic; 6) generating corresponding binary shape characteristic string for each trademark object in a trademark library to match; and 7) judging the matching result of the binary shape characteristic string is a similarity numerical value in an interval of [0, 1].
