Abstract

The embodiment of the invention relates to an implementation scheme of a configurable rule for automatically monitoring a large amount of data stored in a database. For some embodiments, a database engine of an in-memory database can be utilized to obtain high processing capacity, so as to perform analysis on the large amount of data by aiming at compliance and other purposes. For a special embodiment, ABAP (Advanced Business Application Program) database connectivity (ADBC) of the HANA (High-Performance Analytic Appliance) in-memory database, which is obtained from SAP AG, can be adopted, so as to combine governance, risk and compliance (GRC) of the large amount of data stored in the ABAP database connectivity to implement and execute the configurable rule. In all embodiments, an analysis engine in an application layer can depend on an in-memory database engine to execute at least some logics of the configurable rule.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments relate to databases, and in particular, to efficient monitoring and analysis of large data volumes, such as identifying Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) issues. [0002] Unless otherwise indicated herein, the approaches described in this Background section are not prior art to the claims in this application and are not admitted to be prior art by inclusion in this section. Background technique [0003] The current business environment is experiencing the generation of increasingly large amounts of business data. The growing volume of business data available can present both opportunities and challenges for businesses. [0004] Specifically, large volumes of business data can provide non-parallel visibility for gathering detailed insights into past and present business activities. This insight, in turn, can provide the basis for predicting future events, such as accurate extrapolation of growth trajectories. [0005] The availabilit...
