no. 1 example

[0090] First refer to Figures 1 to 12 , to describe the first embodiment of the present technology.

[0091] [Configuration Example of Image Processing System 101]

[0092] figure 1 is a block diagram showing an example of the functional configuration of the image processing system 101 as the first embodiment of the image processing system to which the present technology is applied.

[0093] The image processing system 101 is designed to include a probe 111 and an image processing device 112 . The image processing system 101 is a system that detects a region showing body hair (hereinafter referred to as a body hair region) in an image formed by bringing the probe 111 into contact with or close to human skin (hereinafter referred to as a skin image).

[0094] The probe 111 is designed to include two shooting devices: shooting devices 121-1 and 121-2. The photographing devices 121-1 and 121-2 may be formed of cameras capable of capturing close-up images at an extremely shor...

[0154] now refer to Figures 13 to 16 , to describe the second embodiment of the present technology. The second embodiment of the present technology is the same as the first embodiment except that it further includes a function of removing body hair from the skin image.

[0155] [Configuration Example of Image Processing System 201]

[0156] Figure 13 is a block diagram showing an example of the functional configuration of the image processing system 201 as the second embodiment of the image processing system to which the present technology is applied.

[0157] The image processing system 201 is a system formed by adding a function of removing body hair from a skin image to the image processing system 101 . In this figure, with figure 1 Equivalent components to those used in the figure 1 are denoted by the same reference numerals as those in , and description of components performing the same processing as above will not be repeated here.

no. 3 example

[0174] now refer to Figures 17 to 23 , to describe the third embodiment of the present technology. In the third embodiment of the present technology, the body hair region is detected using three or more skin images obtained by photographing the skin from three or more different directions.

[0175] Since body hair has a linear form, as referenced above Image 6 As stated, it is preferable to capture the skin image from two directions perpendicular to the direction in which the body hair extends. This is because doing so can increase the probability (or area) that a skin area covered by body hair in one skin image will not be covered by body hair in another skin image.

[0176] However, body hair does not necessarily extend in one direction, but may extend in various ways. Therefore, skin images are not necessarily captured from two directions perpendicular to the extending direction of body hair. For example, if Figure 17 As shown, there are cases where the photographin...

Abstract

The present technology relates to an image processing device, an image processing system, an image processing method, and a program, with which it is possible to simply and accurately detect a region within an image in which a detection object, such as body hair, appears. A body hair region detection unit comprises: a projection conversion unit which generates a projection image in which a first image in which body hair is photographed is projection converted to a coordinate system of a second image in which body hair is photographed from a different direction from the first image; a difference image generation unit which generates a difference image between the second image and the projection image; and a region detection unit which detects a candidate region in the difference image which is formed from pixels in which the difference value is greater than or equal to a prescribed threshold, and which divides regions in the second image corresponding to the candidate region into body hair regions in which body hair appears and non-body hair regions which are other than these. It would be possible to apply the present technology to a device which analyzes the state of skin, for example.

Description

technical field [0001] The present technology relates to an image processing device, an image processing system, an image processing method, and a program, and particularly relates to an image processing device, an image processing system, an image processing method, and a program that can be suitably used in the case of detecting a predetermined object in an image. Background technique [0002] In the case of analyzing the condition of the skin using an image generated by capturing the skin, if body hair is displayed in the image, it is difficult to accurately detect the shape of the furrows and crests. As a result, analysis accuracy is lowered. In view of this situation, it has been considered to use images with body hair removed in order to improve the accuracy of skin condition analysis. Therefore, it is critical to accurately detect body hair regions in images. [0003] Meanwhile, a technique of separating body hair pixels constituting a body hair region in an image f...
