The toothpaste comprises raw materials in percentage by mass as follows: 0.9-1.5% of superfine Chuzhou chrysanthemum powder, 0.6-1% of houttuynia cordata water extract powder, 0.6-1% of sessile stemona root water extract powder, 0.6-1% of dandelion water extract powder, 0.3-0.5% of folium isatidis water extract powder, 0.3-0.5% of Chinese thorowax root water extract powder, 40-50% of calcium carbonate, 20-25% of glycerin, 5-10% of sorbitol, 3-5% of sodium bicarbonate, 2-3% of sodium lauryl sulfate, 1-2% of carboxymethyl cellulose sodium, 0.5-1% of potassium nitrate, 0.5-1% of guar gum, 0.5-1% of essence and the balance of water. According to the toothpaste and the production method, all traditional Chinese medicines are added into the toothpaste in a water extract powder form, absorption of effective constituents is facilitated, the multiple traditional Chinese medicines are matched to play a synergistic role, and the toothpaste has heat-clearing and detoxifying effects and contributes to prevention and relief of problems of gum bleeding, gum swelling, bad breath and the like if the toothpaste is used for a long time.
