Abstract

The present invention provides a software module updating method and apparatus. The software module updating method comprises steps of: performing serialization processing on a plurality of access requests for a loaded software module to obtain a serialized request queue, wherein the plurality of access requests comprise an update request used to instruct the software module to perform updating; a single thread successively reading the access requests from the serialized request queue; and when a read access request is the update request, the single thread unloading the software module and reloading the updated software module. The method can implement hot updating of software modules.
