Embodiment Construction

[0062]The present invention provides a method for coordinating RA resources and corresponding signaling procedures in a system, wherein, preferably, the system includes multiple devices and at least one central unit. For example, the system is at least part of a network, the at least one central unit being at least one network base station. The system specifically includes related devices, such as M2M device groups. These M2M devices may simultaneously request access to RA resources, that is, each device may simultaneously send a signaling request to the same central unit. Consequently, the potential risk of signaling congestion and overloading of the network, especially of the at least one central unit, increases.

[0063] Such as image 3 As shown, a plurality of devices are divided into at least one device group 2 according to the present invention. Preferably, the device group 2 includes at least one group representative 4 and a plurality of group members 3 . At least ...

Abstract

A method for organizing random access, RA, resources, comprising: forming a device group (2) including a plurality of group members (3) and at least one group representative (4); providing the at least one group representative (4) with priority access to RA resources; sending, by the at least one group representative (4), a primary event message (5) to a central unit (1) in said RA resources; and sending, by the central unit (1), a response message (6), responsive to the primary event message (5), to the group members (3) for managing access of the group members (3) to the RA resources.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method, system and central unit for managing Random Access (RA) resources. Specifically, by managing RA resources, the method, system and central unit of the present invention can reduce the probability of signaling congestion caused by a large number of devices accessing the same central unit at the same time, especially when devices perform machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. The present invention can be applied to various devices, including single or two devices performing M2M communication, as well as traditional manual communication devices. Background technique [0002] In recent years, M2M communication has attracted increasing attention, especially among mobile network operators, dealers, and research entities, due to the wide potential application prospects and new profit opportunities it brings. Over the next few years, M2M devices connected to mobile networks are expected to grow significantly. Accord...
