The invention discloses a song sending method and apparatus, and belongs to the field of song search. The method comprises the steps of obtaining a picture uploaded by a user terminal; performing image analysis on the picture to obtain image characteristic information corresponding to the picture, wherein the image characteristic information comprises at least one of an image figure characteristic, an image scene characteristic and an image color characteristic; determining a song matched with the image characteristic information in a song library as a target song corresponding to the picture; and sending the target song to the user terminal. According to embodiments of the invention, the problems of single search form and relatively low song search accuracy under relatively low correlation between a keyword used by a user and a to-be-searched song due to search of songs by using the keyword are solved; and on the premise of not inputting the keyword, a server analyzes the picture uploaded by the user terminal and returns the song matched with the picture content to the user terminal according to an analysis result, so that the song search accuracy is improved and song search forms are enriched.
