Abstract

The invention provides a method, switching device and system for forwarding messages in NVMe over Fabric so as to solve the problem that as device names are the same but connection ports are different, message forwarding fails. According to the switching device and method, when a message needing to be forwarded is received, a device name contained in the message needing to be forwarded is acquired, and whether a record of the acquired device name exists in a domain name service list or not is judged; if yes, whether a connection port corresponding to the device name in the record is a port for the switching device to receive the message needing to be forwarded is judged; if not, the message needing to be forwarded is discarded. In this way, the problem that when different devices use the same device name to forward messages through different connection ports on a switching device, a message forwarding error is caused can be avoided.
