A system and method are disclosed for protecting e-mail sender identity by redirecting e-mail messages to an e-mail forwarding server via use of customized recipient e-mail addresses. An e-mail message is sent from a user's actual e-mail account to a customized recipient e-mail address. Because an e-mail forwarding server of the present invention is the Mail Exchange (MX) authority for the domain of the customized recipient e-mail address, the e-mail message is sent to the e-mail forwarding server. The e-mail forwarding server contains a database that stores users' actual e-mail addresses and their associated alias e-mail addresses. According to the technical scheme of the invention, an SDN controller issues the flow entry of each VM to a physical gateway with the VTEP instead of the VM as a unit, wherein the MAC address in the issued flow entry is the aggregated MAC address of an MAC address pool allocated to the VTEP instead of the real MAC address of the VM. When an MAC forwarding table entry is generated by the physical gateway based on flow entries, a single MAC forwarding table entry is generated based on N (larger than one) flow entries. That means, for the above N flow entries, only one MAC forwarding table entry is stored in the hardware table entry resource of the physical gateway. The invention provides a message forwarding method in software defined networking. The message forwarding method includes the steps of: receiving a message by network equipment; inquiring a flow table according to the message when path information does not exist in the message; and if a matched flow forwarding table item does not exist in the flow table, caching the message and sending the message to a controller, receiving a flow forwarding table item generated according to the message and issued by the controller, adding the path information in the flow forwarding table item to the message, and forwarding the message according to the path information. The message is then modified and forwarded according to the second destination MAC address, second destination VLAN ID, and second destination device ID.
