Abstract

The invention relates to a method for measuring an SAGD steam chamber expansion speed of a horizontal well. Based on a certain assumed condition, a steam chamber expansion theory and a heat transfer and conduction differential equation, a steam chamber outer edge temperature distribution function and a steam chamber front edge expansion speed prediction model are derived. The steam chamber edge inclination angles and expansion speeds of a horizontal well group at different moments are measured in combination with field detection data according to a mathematic model. According to the method, a monitoring well can be directly adopted for monitoring temperature data and measuring the steam chamber expansion speed; and compared with an existing method for predicting the steam chamber expansion speed, the tedious process and the long consumed time of the existing method are avoided, the manpower, material resources and financial resources are saved, and an expansion speed value is quickly and accurately obtained.
