Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a new application of medicine, in particular to the application of ganciclovir in the preparation of medicine for treating or preventing diabetic stroke. Background technique [0002] Stroke is one of the major diseases that seriously endanger human health. One sixth of the people in the world will suffer from at least one stroke during their life, and it is an important cause of adult death and disability. Diabetes is a particularly high risk factor for first-time stroke patients, especially those with type 2 diabetes who are 2-5 times more likely to have a stroke than non-type 2 diabetics [Zafar A, Shahid SK, Siddiqui M, Khan FS.Pattern of stroke in type2diabetic subjects versus non diabetic subjects.J Ayub Med Coll Abbottabad.2007;19(4):64-67.], and 70% of patients with recent stroke had obvious diabetes or prediabetes, Including impaired fasting glucose (IFG) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) [Kernan WN, Inzucchi SE.
